Dayna was born and raised in Southern California by a single mother where she currently lives with her husband, children, and pets. Dayna is a long time animal lover who worked in veterinary medicine until having her first child. Since the age of fourteen her aunt would send boxes of books to them and she would sneak out all the books with half naked men on them. She was an insatiable reader and at that time had started to write her own stories to appease her imagination. The birth of her son pushed her to achieve her dream of becoming an author. Being an author means so much more than just selling books. It means having the freedom to be home with her kids through every stage of their lives, no longer missing out on family events like birthdays and holidays due to work. Writing about falling in love is a true joy for Dayna. Throughout her journey as a writer, Dayna was a military wife, a fire wife, and in the last two years a surrogate for two journeys. Books, reading, and more importantly, writing and publishing has always remained her dream and an integral part of who she is through the ups and downs of life.
